Lycorma delicatula, or Spotted Lanternfly (SLF), is an invasive species that originated in Asia. You probably started seeing these pests in 2014 when they were first found in Pennsylvania. Since that time - they have been found in different parts of New Jersey as well. The Spotted Landernfly is a threat to agriculture, endangering over 70 species of plants and trees including the Oak Tree.
